ILIRIA COLLEGE

ILIRIA College is one of the first non-public higher education institutions in the region of Western Balkans, established in 2002 in Prishtina, Kosova. It is a degree awarding higher education institution, accredited by the Kosovo Accreditation Agency (Member of European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education – ENQA). It offers degree programs at the undergraduate, graduate and professional levels in the following disciplines: Banking, Finance and Accounting; Management; International Business; Computer Sciences; International Relations and Diplomacy; Law; Health Management. The student body is comprised of approximately 8,000 undergraduate and 2,000 graduate students. ILIRIA College is a Member of EUNIS – European University Organization for Information Systems, Member of the Executive Board of EURAS – Eurasian Universities Union Founding Member of ALUM – Adriatic Linked Universities, as well as other regional partnerships and associations.
ILIRIA has so far engaged over 166 local and international experts with PhD and MSc (Cand.) qualifications. It has also about 65 administrative staff. The academic and professional staff of ILIRIA College has great experience in project management, developing curricula and implementing various trainings in related fields.
ILIRIA College through its Scientific Journal, ILIRIA International Review (IIR) published over 200 peer-reviewed scientific papers and 30 scientific books, it organizes approximately 5-8 national and International Conferences every year. IIR is an international scientific journal registered in Deutsche National Bibliothek with Print ISSN (2192-7081) and Online ISSN (2365-8592). IIR is double-blind peer-reviewed and open access published semi-annually by ILIRIA College (Kosovo) in cooperation with Felix – Verlag (Germany) http://www.iliriapublications.org/index.php/iir. IIR is devoted to publish research papers from the field of Social Sciences and Humanities. IIR aims to promote interdisciplinary studies and research and to explore the intersection of policy, practice and research from the South East European Region.
Through its Center for Economic and Social Development, during the last two years, ILIRIA College has participated in more than 40 Erasmus+ projects (KA1 and KA2) that have been focused on diversity, integration, inclusion and other related issues. http://www.uiliria.org/erasmusplus/
Each Year ILIRIA College in cooperation with LUM Jean Monnet University is organizing the International Summer School “LUM Jean Monnet – ILIRIA”. The summer school each year treats different EU topics with professors and scholars from all over Europe.
ILIRIA College, in cooperation with different Higher Education Institutions and different business representatives in Kosovo (law firms) annually organizes the “Western Balkans Vis Pre-Moot Competition” in Prishtina, Kosova. http://www.uiliria.org/premoot/
The goal of the Pre-Moot is to give students an opportunity to sharpen their skills by presenting and defending their legal arguments, while being able to receive feedback from experienced practitioners of the field. During the Pre-Moot, teams from universities across the region compete against each other in a series of rounds that are judged by practicing lawyers and arbitrators, many of whom are Vis alumni. The judges also provide feedback-both on substantive law and style, to allow students to fine tune their presentations in advance of the international competition in Vienna.
Despite the formal education, ILIRIA College provides great possibilities for youngsters to benefit from Microsoft Imagine Academy trainings and be engaged in different youth clubs such as: Legal Clinic, ILIRIA Debate Club, Project Management Club, Programmers Club etc.
Students engaged in the legal clinic have a great possibility to learn by doing. In cooperation with different NGOs in Kosovo, they have the possibility to provide free legal services for the citizens that belong to one of the Vulnerable and Marginalized Groups in Kosovo. Each year more than 1000 citizens benefit free legal services in Kosova.
ILIRIA College has established its Center for Economic and Social Development. It has a great experience in management of different Erasmus+ projects.
During 2015-2016, ILIRIA College in Cooperation with CLARD (Center for Legal Aid and Regional Development) have provided Free Legal Services for 1,300 citizens that belong to different Vulnerable an Marginalized in Kosovo under voluntary basis. Media and Information Technology Department of CESD has played a crucial role in informing citizens and increasing awareness about inclusion, human rights and Diversity.

The Non-Formal activities of ILIRIA College are separated in different youth Clubs are managed by the its CESD employees, such as:
- Debate Club
- Programmers Club
- Project Management Club
Each Youth Club local and international volunteers are involved and represents a great possibility for youngsters to be engaged in different activities and also take self initiatives. The activities are designed in a way that allows youngsters to feel included and learn by doing. All the workshops, round tables, public debates, meetings are organized by the students in cooperation with the administrative staff of CESD.
